π COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT π Barossa District is excited to welcome Scott Southwell back as our Under 16 Girls Coach for the 2026 season!
Scott did an incredible job this season, leading our girls all the way to the finals and bringing a wealth of football knowledge, experience and passion to the program.
Joining him in 2026 is Bailee Major, who will take on the role of Wellbeing Coach. Bailee is also involved with our Senior Women’s program and will be mentoring our U16 girls as they take the next step in their development.

A huge congratulations to our 2025 season Women’s Coach, Greg Dempsey, who was recently named a Top 6 Finalist for the BHP Community Coach of the Year Award! π
Although Greg didn’t take out the top honour, being shortlisted from coaches right across the country is an incredible achievement — and as a finalist he’s also scored $1,000 for our club! π
His nomination highlighted the massive impact he’s made in progressing women’s football and the difference he brings to his players and our community. We’re incredibly proud to have Greg leading our women’s program in the 2025 season.
