MOUTH GUARDS ARE A COMPULSORY – NO MOUTH GUARD, NO TRAIN NOR PLAY
During the 2012 AFL season, a Gold Coast Suns player had his front teeth knocked out during a football game. He later required dental surgery to have the teeth re-inserted after they were found on the ground after the game. The player had a mouthguard with him, but it was in his sock, not in his mouth! He missed games as he recovers from surgery, and there was the chance his teeth would die and turn black due to the loss in blood supply to them for some time.
There are two places for mouthguards:
- In your mouth when you are on the ground
- In your footy gear bag when travelling to/from the ground
There are two reasons for wearing your mouthguards at training and games:
- Protect your mouth/teeth from injury
- Learn to talk to each other with mouthguards in – you need to talk to each other during the game, this is also a skill that needs to be developed
🔥 History Made in the Dog House! 🔴⚪🔵
It’s not every day you see three brothers run out together in the same A Grade side — but today, the McDonald boys have done just that for Barossa District!
🏉 Austin, Riley & Mitchell all played their juniors right here at the club, and now for the first time ever, they lined up together in the A Grade. A proud moment for the family — and a special one for the Bulldogs community too.
From junior Bulldogs to senior stars — legends in the making.🐶💪 #McdonaldMagic #BDFNC #HomeGrownTalent #ThreeOfAKind ... See MoreSee Less

Jarrod Traynor and Bradley Traynor already forgotten about
Hayden Traynor never forgotten by those that know, by the way dont forget about the Casboult dynasty as well. Would of been unreal to have all three McDonald's, all four Traynors and God knows how many Casboults in the same A side grade at once.
Amazing to play altogether x
What a great photo of before the game today. Three generations of the McDonald family. ❤️🐶💙 Congratulations boys
Great work boys, have had the pleasure to meet all 3 boys throughout their Central District careers
