MOUTH GUARDS ARE A COMPULSORY – NO MOUTH GUARD, NO TRAIN NOR PLAY
During the 2012 AFL season, a Gold Coast Suns player had his front teeth knocked out during a football game. He later required dental surgery to have the teeth re-inserted after they were found on the ground after the game. The player had a mouthguard with him, but it was in his sock, not in his mouth! He missed games as he recovers from surgery, and there was the chance his teeth would die and turn black due to the loss in blood supply to them for some time.
There are two places for mouthguards:

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOW REQUIRED.
NO REGISTRATION = NO TRAINING AND NO GAME.
Registration policies of the AFL and therefore the BL&G require that all players register online.

🚨 2026 Women’s Coaching Panel Announcement 🚨
We’re thrilled to confirm the re-appointment of Dean Woods as our Senior Women’s Coach for the 2026 season! Dean brings great momentum into the new year after guiding our Senior Women to a Grand Final appearance in 2025.
Joining him are Bailee Major and Ricky Wilkin as Assistant Coaches.
Bailee brings an incredible sporting résumé — a long-time Barossa player and volunteer, 10 years of Inline Hockey State Team representation, 3x Team Australia international campaigns (including time as Captain and Alternate Captain), plus coaching experience with SA’s Junior Women and U15s State Teams at nationals. She’s also a premiership player at Lyndoch Cricket Club and really just an all round legend.
After coaching the U17½ Boys this season, Ricky is stepping back across to support the Women’s program once again after coaching the ladies in 2023, adding valuable experience and leadership to the coaching group.
A powerhouse panel with talent and passion
